Emily Gitlin

Partnerships and Recruitment, M1

Emily Gitlin (she/her) is an first-year medical student from Ann Arbor, MI. She attended Duke University for undergrad (c/o ‘23) where she studied Global Health and Psychology. Her passion for global health equity has been nurtured through opportunities in South Africa, India, Uganda, and the United States, and she looks forward to using these experiences to inform her holistic care of refugee populations through UMAC and beyond. She is especially excited about expanding UMAC’s partnerships to improve refugees’ transitions even after they are granted asylum.
