Jocelyn Ra
Jocelyn Ra, M1
Jocelyn Ra (she/her) is a first-year medical student at the University of Michigan and is incredibly excited to serve as Co-Director of UMAC. She was born in California but grew up in South Korea, coming back to the United States for her undergraduate degree at Yale University where she received her B.S. in Neuroscience. Her prior experiences with a myriad of healthcare systems and populations across the world have made her especially passionate about global health equity and expanding trauma-informed healthcare access for asylum seekers and uninsured populations in the United States. In her free time, you can catch her running, trying to finish writing her most recent short story, and making spontaneous road trips with friends to touch some grass because she believes the world is too beautiful and life is too short.
